Analyse

Learning specifications were analysed and effective lessons were planned that could work for instructor led training, blended learning and remote learning.

Design

A key to adult learning is getting students to reflect on their own experiences and link this to course content. By creating editable PDFs that signpost to video content (some bespoke) with effective and focused questions, students link their learning to their day to day life and experiences.

These PDFs are submitted to the LMS for an instructor to ensure the students complete the work and that they have understood the content.

Assessment for learning would be done through formative assessment using digital tools integrated into the LMS grade book.

Implementation

The course structure was presented to stakeholders and a trial was agreed. This represents a significant innovation to the way in which courses had traditionally been delivered.
